The Many Pouches was the first Airship I completed in this new acrylic style. It came after a number of experiments as I searched for a visual language that felt true to the world I was imagining. When this piece was finished, I knew I had found it.

As the series grew, The Many Pouches became much more than the first painting. It evolved into the visual identity of Dispatches & Daydreams, appearing throughout the exhibition as a kind of emblem for the Airships themselves.

Its simplified line drawing became the logo for the vintage telegram-inspired wall cards that accompanied each painting, quietly tying the entire exhibition together. What began as one whimsical vessel ultimately became the symbol of a much larger journey.
